Donor Experience

The potential kidney donor is a very special person.  They are but a small fraction of the population who is not only able, order but willing to undergo a major operation which they do not need to have in order to help another person get better.   Those of you who have seen patients on dialysis will understand what a hardship this mode of therapy is on the patient in terms of health, sickness energy, ampoule relationships, work and happiness as well as the significant impact on loved ones and caregivers.

The following pages describe the different stages of Kidney Donation, from identification, to workup to operation day, and followup.
