The potential kidney donor is a very special person. They are but a small fraction of the population who is not only able, order but willing to undergo a major operation which they do not need to have, in order to help another person get better. Those of you who have seen patients on dialysis will understand what a hardship this mode of therapy is on the patient in terms of health, energy, relationships, work, and happiness, as well as the significant impact on loved ones and caregivers.
